If you are anything like me, while I mourn the end of summer, I'm also always invigorated at the thought of starting anew. I grew up in the Southern Hemisphere where the end of summer and the beginning of the calendar year are in sync. So getting used to September being the time when schedules return to normal is new, but feels right.
I laughed as I walked into Peet's to get my morning latte today, as the din from mothers chatting, with an almost giddy glee, was deafening. Kids are back in school, schedules return to normal, and planning for the rest of the year takes hold.
With a little extra space in the day once the kids are in school always makes me ask "what do I want to achieve in the remainder of the year?" The New Year resolutions are a distant memory, so it's the perfect time to hit the reset button.
So, what do you want to achieve now that summer is drawing to a close?
